5.1 |
What is the insurance coverage** available in XTRAPOWER program? |
- The sum assured under insurance coverage available for the card members is given below :
- Card member: Rs.1 lac per active card, upto a maximum of Rs. 20 lacs
- Designating a person for insurance benefits in case of partnership firms & companies is mandatory.
- Driver: Rs.50,000/- per card
- Co-Driver & Helper: Rs.25,000/- each per card
- Lost card liability against misuse of lost card: Each card is insured up to a maximum of Rs 16,000.00, if the loss of card is properly reported to our Customer Service Center and the card is used within 24 hrs. of lodging such complaint.
- The insurance coverage would be available as per the prevailing IRDA guidelines during the relevant period
N.B. The insurance benefits would be applicable for Active Cards only. Any XTRAPOWER Card that does a minimum transaction of Rs. 10000/- in last 365 days is treated as an Active Card.

** IndianOil may at any time (in it's sole discretion and without giving any notice thereof to the Card holder or assigning any reason thereof) alter, suspend, withdraw or cancel the benefit of such insurance covered, and there will be no binding obligation on IndianOil to continue this benefit. |

How does one get insurance policy? |
No separate insurance policy is required. Your Fleet Control Card and fleet cards would be your reference for any insurance- related claims. For partnership firms & companies, the insurance cover will be available subject to unique and valid nomination during the filling up of application form.

What are the eventualities covered? |
The following eventualities are covered : |
- Death: 100 %
- Permanent Total Disability: 100 %
- Permanent loss of one eye, one hand or one leg: 50 %
Additional Benefit 2 % of the Capital Sum Insured or Rs 2500/- whichever is less for transportation of deceased to his residence or place of stay.

Is insurance name-specific or card-specific? |
The personal accident insurance cover for the card member is name-specific and therefore nomination in case of partnership firms, an organization etc is mandatory.
The personal accident insurance cover for the driver, co-driver and helper is card-specific i.e. vehicle specific.
N.B. Personal accident insurance claim in case of vehicle crew is admissible only when the vehicle is involved in an accident.

Is there any insurance coverage on accidental injuries ? |
Yes. FREE Mediclaim Insurance for Drivers and Helpers for Accidental injuries is available upto a limit of Rs 2500/- per claim |

How to lodge claims? |
For lodging any claim the card member should obtain a claim from the nearest branch of The Oriental Insurance Company Limited and submit his claim to the following address along with necessary documents:

What are the documents to be submitted for settlement of claim? |

Personal Accident Insurance Claim : |

For lodging settlement claim following documents (as applicable, depending on case to case e.g. postmortem document would be required only in case of death) need to be furnished - |
- Claim form duly signed by Fleet Owner.
- Card number and copy of the card.
- Certified copy of FIR.
- Hospital's certificate with details of injury, treatment, admission and discharge date.
- Copy of Panchnama.
- Post Mortem report
- X-Ray report and other reports if any.
- Name of the Legal Heir in whose favor claim settlement is required

For lodging claim on Lost Card : |
- Details of transactions of preceding 8 days.
- Docket Number against the complaint lodged at XTRAPOWER Customer Service Center.
- FIR in respect of loss card and monetary loss
