What is XTRAPOWER fleet card?

XTRAPOWER fleet Card is given to the XTRAPOWER member for every vehicle enrolled under the fleet card program. It is based on smart card technology and can be used by the driver of the vehicle to purchase fuel and lubricants as agreed upon for each vehicle at the designated Retail Outlets.

How many cards will I get?

You will be given one card per vehicle. For instance, if you enroll five vehicles under program, you will be entitled for five XTRAPOWER cards. Additionally you will also receive a fleet control card along with its control PIN, which can be used by the card member for CCMS Recharge and redemption of XTRA reward points.

How much time will it take to receive the card?

You will receive your XTRAPOWER cards within 21 working days of application.

Can one use one card for more than one vehicle?

No, a vehicle specific card can be used only for the specific vehicle it has been issued to. However, Generic and Corporate cards are not vehicle specific and thus can be used for the specific purpose for which they have been issued.

What is a PIN?

PIN is a 4-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN) used for authentication of the card holder. The PIN is set to a default value of "0000", when it is sent to you. The default PIN has to be necessarily changed before a card can be used for any transaction.

How to get the card activated?

To activate your XTRAPOWER card the default PIN must be changed. For this

 
  • Insert the Fleet Card in the XTRAPOWER Terminal.
  • Press 8 or select CHNGE USR PIN and press Enter.
  • Enter New User PIN.
  • Confirm New User PIN.
  • User PIN would get changed.

Your card gets activated and is now ready for other transactions.

How do I change PIN later?

To change the PIN of any card, the cardholder will have to visit a designated Retail Outlet of IndianOil and present his card for change of PIN.

  • Insert the Fleet Card in the XTRAPOWER Terminal.
  • Press 8 or select CHANGE USR PIN and press ENTER.
  • Enter Old User PIN.
  • Enter New User PIN.
  • Confirm New PIN.
  • User PIN would get changed.
Tips for safety :
 
  • Do not disclose the PIN to any unauthorized person.
  • Do not write your PIN on the Fleet Card or on the pouch holding the card.
  • Change your PIN periodically to protect against any unauthorized use of the card.
  • Note down the PIN when the driver using the card leaves the organisation or goes on leave.

What if one forgets the PIN?

In case the cardholder forgets the PIN or enters wrong PIN 3 times during any transaction, the PIN gets blocked and the card cannot be used. The PIN can be unblocked through our 24 X 7 helpline 1800-425-5599 or 044-65514977/4983 or by sending a written request to our Customer Service Center. Once the card is unblocked by the Customer Service Center, it has to be unblocked through the XTRAPOWER Terminal as under -

 
  • Insert the Fleet Card in the XTRAPOWER Terminal.
  • Press 9 or select -NEXT-- and press Enter.
  • Press 1 or select UNBLK USR PIN and press Enter.
  • If the USER PIN is blocked, Terminal displays CONNECTING.
  • If the Request for Unblocking has been accepted, User PIN would be Unblocked.
  • After Unblocking, Enter New User PIN.
  • Confirm New PIN.
  • Card would be Unblocked and ready for use.

What if I loose the card?

If a card is lost, the card member should call up the Customer Helpline number and give his request for hotlisting the card. Hot listing the card means deactivating the card for any future transactions. The card will get deactivated within 48 hours of reporting the loss of card. However the card member must confirm the loss of card in writing to along with a copy of the police omplaint. The written confirmation can be faxed to the Customer Service Center.

How will I get a replacement card once I loose the original card?

A replacement card can be issued to the card member after due verification and payment of replacement card fee @Rs. 100 per card. The pre-paid amount balance on the lost card if any, shall be transferred to the customer CCMS account after due verification.

Is there any maximum limit on purchase of product in a particular day?

There are different limits for each card, which can be set by card member himself. There are three types of limit on each card-

  1. Sale Transaction Limit - It is the maximum value of a single sale transaction on a prepaid card (default value Rs. 12000/-
  2. Daily cash Limit - It is the maximum value of sale transactions that can be undertaken on a prepaid card in a day (default value Rs.24000/-) and
  3. Daily credit limit-This is the only limit available on a credit card. It is the maximum value of sales transactions that can be undertaken on a card in a day. The limit is fixed by the credit partner.
  4. Monthly limit - It is the maximum value of sales transaction that can be undertaken on a prepaid card in a month (default value : Rs. 70,000/-)
  5. Card Purse Limit - It is the maximum value of cash that can be held in the e-purse of the prepaid card at any point of time (Max value Rs. 50,000/-)
Specifying the card limits is mandatory and applications without these limits will be treated as incomplete. The limits on card can be changed subsequently by giving a written request to the Customer Helpline. For change in monthly limit the request has to be sent to Fleet Marketing Officer.

Under what circumstances, a card can be hotlisted?

The card can be hotlisted if

  • The card has been lost, stolen, robbed or misplaced OR
  • The card membership has been cancelled for some reason
Note : If a card has not been used for 60 days continuously it is treated as a dormant card and gets activated after an online check.

How to reactivate hotlisted cards?

A hotlisted card can be reactivated on receipt of a written request from the card member. On acceptance of the request the hotlisted card can be reactivated subject to the card not having been permanently hotlisted.

How much time it would take to reactivate the card ?

If a request for reactivating a card has been accepted by IndianOil, the reactivation would be done within 48 hours of request. However the card has to be taken to a designated retail outlet for making re-activating it.

Is the card vehicle specific or driver specific ?

The card is vehicle-specific and PIN driven.
